Let’s Get Started with Unica V12.1 is an interactive video series hosted by Kelly Powers that dives into the “how” of the Unica Platform. Unica is super powerful, and every video in our series will touch on the platform’s power. We already did part 1 and part 2 on ‘Let’s Get Started in Unica Campaign.’, ‘Let’s Get Started in Unica Deliver.’, and Let’s Get Started in Unica Plan. This time we are here with a series of short videos which can guide you through one of the most essential modules from the suite – Unica Journey.

As a marketer, you have to achieve weekly targets monitor key conversion points, make adjustments on the fly and trigger many actions in many different channels and systems, but how do you do it? That’s where Unica Journey comes in handy. Let’s learn more about it.

Understanding Unica Journey

Every industry needs to create a customer experience, from hospitality, in a contactless registration, to anyone putting on events or contacting a patient for different reasons. Journey can assist with this, bringing data from other areas, and moving the customer along as required. And there are real-time updates, so changes can be made on the fly and your customer’s journey adjusted accordingly— it’s like a new power tool in our Unica Platform.

Creating a Basic Journey

Once you are inside the Journey module, it’s time to start creating your journey. In this replay, you can understand to create folders, and small data entries, to develop our journey. Then, you move through the different processes in the Journey Palette to start thinking about the journey we want to create, the action points of the journey, the timing, and decisions.

Your Customer’s Experience

Any journey is incomplete without a date. Watch this replay about loading data, configuring the data, putting the journey together, and configuring all output connections with Deliver module. You start with loading a simple CSV file into Unica Journey. Then set up the data definition from the information we loaded. Next, we set up a journey and evolve it using different Journey Palette processes. Finally, we use the data points for decisions in the Journey to send a message via SMS or email, using our Deliver module to communicate with the customers who “qualify.”
