HCLSoftware Support Achieves ISO 27001 Certification

I’m excited to announce that the Product Support team of HCLSoftware has been awarded the ISO 27001 certification. As Director of the Product Support team, I can’t be more proud of my entire team for having moved one additional step on the ladder of our Support Maturity Model.

ISO 27001 is one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards. It describes how organizations should manage information security and it stipulates requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS).

Bureau Veritas, an independent audit firm, performed the ISO 27001 audit of HCLSoftware Support. The auditor evaluated the security controls implemented within Support across various parameters. That includes user access management, security and privacy trainings, operational security, encryption standards, password management, and many more. For example, our access control procedures were formalized and implemented across all Support Systems to meet the expectations of the standard. Our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) was evaluated and improved to further ensure, following a business disruption, the availability and restoration of support operations to a pre-defined level, within a predetermined time frame. Our documented and tested partnerships and collaborations with cross functional teams, like our HCL IT department, or our external suppliers enabled us to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate controls across all parameters audited as per the ISO 27001 standard.

All Support Employees demonstrated a successful execution of the security and privacy awareness trainings. Support’s training program fosters a culture that emphasizes the importance of security and privacy in all our undertakings.
