Value-inspired Healthcare Technology

Healthcare and technology evolve rapidly, requiring constant vigilance to stay informed about the latest developments. It's a demanding task to keep up with the market and stay ahead of new trends. We frequently observe collaboration between these two industries to drive innovation forward. This was demonstrated when HCLSoftware Business Partner, Nesh Inc., collaborated with their customer, Archangel of Mercy LLC, and the software solution, HCL Volt MX, to advance wound care management into the Digital+ era.

Scott Hetland, President of Archangel of Mercy LLC, has been a long-time integral part of the wound care management (WCM) segment of healthcare, maintaining a relationship with Mercy Supply Collaborative for over 25 years. Their mission: “To dramatically improve how wound and ostomy care is delivered in home health and beyond through our integrated set of education, consulting, technology and supply management products and services. Our core values of integrity, innovation, and commitment to caregivers and patients guide us in everything we do.”

How Archangel Achieved their Mission

With support from Nesh Inc., Hetfield developed an all-in-one wound care platform and app. The platform offers a streamlined process for comprehensive wound assessment, treatment, and product ordering. Nesh Inc. collaborated with Archangel to understand the company's goals and initiatives, with the ultimate aim of revolutionizing the wound care management (WCM) industry.

Nesh Inc. has been a partner of HCL Volt MX for the past six years, constructing numerous customer applications on the platform. They recognized that HCL Volt MX could expedite cross-platform technologies in a manageable way. With Volt MX, they can prioritize the customer's requirements and needs without being bogged down by backend complexities. Nesh Inc. has experienced HCL Volt MX's faster app development times, enabling them to achieve quick turnarounds and surpass customer timeline expectations.

With a vision for a comprehensive WMC app, Hetfield leverages image processing capabilities and scientific algorithms within the app to assess wounds, track their progression, and monitor healing. This functionality enables post-acute care clinicians to efficiently document, assess, monitor, and treat wounds, and to easily manage their wound care product inventory. HCL Volt MX provides complete customization and an intuitive user interface, allowing users to create and update care plans tailored to each patient. Additionally, clinicians can build custom workflows and product formulas to meet their specific needs.

HCL Volt MX: Data-Driven Wound Care for Improved Outcomes

The HCL Volt MX platform offers real-time analytics, especially with the Archangel application, providing access to clinical data, wound scores, trends, and in-depth insights. The data push feature makes it easy to identify priority patients. Data is segmented by clinician and time period, and users can access performance and revenue reports. The app includes an integration component that allows connection with built-in Telemedicine, and sites can integrate with their Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

The President of Archangel affirms that this application yields positive outcomes not only for users' businesses but also for patients. It can enhance the quality of care and treatment plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory, clinical, and product use standards. Additionally, the app can lower costs by providing insights on optimizing visits, managing changes, and reducing labor and supply expenses. It enhances patient satisfaction through a patient-family portal that boosts engagement and offers personalized care plans, thereby improving adherence, healing outcomes, and overall quality of life.

Moreover, the app contributes to revenue growth by identifying efficiency improvements in workflows and offering expert guidance for business expansion. It improves payer mix and increases reimbursement rates, and its advanced wound care tools enable clinicians to scale their programs effectively.

Leading progress brings a sense of pride. HCL Volt MX serves as the vessel, propelled by Nesh Inc. like wind and sail towards the future. Scott Hetfield at Archangel embodies both architect and captain, driven by a visionary outlook. This partnership proves the adage "where there's a will, there's a way," and the way forward is clearly marked with HCLSoftware.
