Announcing the End of Support for HCL DevOps Velocity (formerly HCL Accelerate) 5.0.8 and Earlier Versions

As we continuously evolve our products to meet the ever-changing demands of the software development landscape, it’s crucial to ensure that our offerings are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards. To this end, we are announcing the End of Support (EOS) for HCL DevOps Velocity (formerly HCL Accelerate) 2024.06 (5.0.8) and earlier versions effective June 30, 2025.

Until then, all licenses and downloads obtained before September 1, 2024, will remain available on the current distribution platform.

What Does This Mean?

“End of Support” means that after the specified date, HCL DevOps Velocity 5.0.8 and earlier versions will no longer receive technical support, including patches, bug fixes, security updates, and will not have the ability to authenticate customer entitlement. This step allows us to focus our resources on enhancing newer versions of HCL DevOps Velocity, ensuring that our customers have access to the most advanced features, security improvements, and performance optimizations.

Why is EOS Important?

By moving away from older versions, we can dedicate more time and effort to developing innovations and improvements that our customers need in order to stay competitive. EOS is a natural part of the software lifecycle that ensures you are using the most effective tools to support your DevOps practices.

How to Upgrade

To assist with your upgrade, we have provided detailed documentation, upgrade guides, and support resources for the new software download portal, My HCLSoftware, MHS. Our support site is also available to help you transition smoothly to the latest version of HCL DevOps Velocity.
