As part of its wider DevOps v2024.09 portfolio, we are pleased to announce a new version of our automated software testing product, DevOps Test 11.0.3. DevOps Test continues to deliver new capabilities and customer enhancement requests. These capabilities support our changing technology environment and improve the DevOps lifecycle.
So, what are the new noticeable new features in version 11.0.3? Let’s explore!
Integration with LambdaTest Device Cloud Provider
With this new integration, users can leverage the power of the LambdaTest device cloud, offering an easy and convenient way to execute tests on any mobile device using the large LambdaTest mobile device catalog. This capability is offered in DevOps Test UI as well as in DevOps Test Hub, where any mobile test execution can be performed on a remote device.
Credentials are securely stored, and the usage of these can be restricted to authorized users.
When running a mobile test, given the user has been granted with authorization, the execution can be made on one of the remote devices, as shown below:
Extending Execution Capabilities to SAP Test Cases
With release 11.0.3, it is now possible to execute SAP GUI tests directly from DevOps Test Hub, without having to place them in a schedule, and users can leverage centralized executions offered by the server. The execution must happen on a remote connected static agent that can offer this execution capability. An example of a report generated by an SAP test execution directly from DevOps Test Hub is shown below:
Asset Navigator - Enhanced User Experience
The asset navigator available for authoring data assets offers an intuitive and streamlined user experience, allowing users to easily search, filter and manage their datasets or data definitions. With easy filtering and smart categorization, users can quickly locate and organize very large numbers of assets effortlessly, reducing time and making data asset management more efficient.
Experimental Test Report
In this release, there is a new experimental test report. It is not yet intended to replace existing test reports , but to bring in a newly redesigned report, which is available when no previous report existed. For example, DevOps Test Integrations and APIs executions are now shown in an interactive graphical test report, as shown below:
