As part of its wider HCL DevOps v2024.06 portfolio, HCLSoftware is pleased to announce a new version of our automated software testing products, HCL DevOps Test 11.0.2. HCL DevOps Test continues to deliver new capabilities and customer enhancement requests. These capabilities support our changing technology environment and improve the HCL DevOps lifecycle.
So, What are the Noticeably New Things in Version 11.0.2? Let’s Dig In.
Extend the Insights Provided by Analyzing Performance Test Results
Last year by leveraging deep learning and AI techniques, we shipped a set of analyzers with the abilities to scan performance test results, detect well known patterns, and notify users that they might have potential issues - detections that when manually done are painful and error prone. This new capability helps testers to analyze the performance test results’ data specifically by monitoring and looking at the health of machines and agents that are participating in the test. Using AI, a model has been trained to scan performance test results and detect the classic patterns that might be issues from a performance and reliability standpoint.
Extending Execution Capabilities to SAP Test Cases
Starting with release 11.0.2, it is now possible to execute SAP GUI test cases from HCL DevOps Test Hub and leverage centralized executions offered by the server. The execution capability must happen on a remote connected static agent.
Integration with HCL DevOps Plan
As part of HCL DevOps release 2024.06, a new version of HCL DevOps Plan is shipped and is already fully integrated with HCL DevOps Test. Creating work items directly in HCL DevOps Plan, as well as navigating to them from HCL DevOps Test Hub, accelerates cycles and enhances productivity.
From HCL DevOps Test Hub results, it is very easy and convenient to create an item in HCL DevOps Plan.
Fields are all pre-defined for minimum gestures. Navigation from Results to Defect is easy.
Defects can be accessed directly from the Results for optimized tracking.
Enhanced User Experience
Some of the Settings pages have been redesigned for more natural discovery and configuration accessibility. User Permissions Management has also been revisited to improve ease of use.
