In today’s world there are three ‘musts’: Businesses must move faster, must reduce cyber risks, and must break down data and operational silos that stifle innovation. BigFix 11 is a quantum leap that empowers organizations to redefine how they accelerate business IT, align security stakeholders, and ally tools, teams, and processes in a unified way. The release combines the latest in artificial intelligence powered IT automation, new CyberFOCUS capabilities that give ITOps a seat at the Security table, and innovative tools for the C-Suite to measure reduced cyber risk, all in a unified whole that eliminates siloed teams and processes.

This blog post explores the key highlights of BigFix 11 and explains how it empowers organizations to accelerate, align, and ally their endpoint management strategies.

  • Experience zero-touch automation with BigFix Runbook AI:

Big Fix 11 Runbook AI uses Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to automate the matching of hundreds of runbooks to the correct open IT ticket in your ITSM system at scale. It comes with hundreds of runbooks out of the box, covering Windows and Linux server management, database management, and Active Directory management. BigFix Runbook AI supports more OS and Server device types than any other IT automation solution.
  • Delight end users with new AI capabilities:

BigFix 11 features a Gen AI-driven conversational end user IT help desk solution trained on over 800+ use cases, including standard operating procedures, OS help, application help, security problems, and configuration issues. It comes out of the box with support for multiple communications methods, including chat, text, and voice. It supports multiple languages and is integrated with multiple popular communication channels including Facebook Messenger, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. It is also integrated with multiple 3rd party systems, including IT Service Management (ITSM), Robotic Process Automation, (RBA) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • New CyberFOCUS Analytics Innovations:

Automated prescriptive remediation guidance has been added to the Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Analyzer to help IT identify patch strategies that result in the least business disruption and the maximum attack surface reduction. Exploitable Vulnerability Protection Level Agreements, which give business leaders a way to directly measure and manage cyber risk reduction, has new customizable exposure time capabilities. Finally, Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Content Pack Add On includes content to remediate more than 65% the CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEVs.) It also includes the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Analyzer now with new detailed device drill downs.
  • Compliance PCI-DSS V4.0 support:

The BigFix Compliance PCI-DSS Add-on has been updated to support PCI 4.0. It is now the only solution that has continuous compliance capabilities for PCI, ensuring that if a device drifts from compliance with PCI 4.0, the device will immediately be put back into a compliant state, automatically, and without admin needing to think about it or take action. The newly updated add-on includes PCI 4.0 Checklists for Winds 10, 11, Server 2016, Server 2019, and Server 2022 and has an increased number of checks as well as checks with remediation. As always, BigFix covers the broadest set of OS and device types for security compliance, including with PCI 4.0.
  • New CyberFOCUS integration with Rapid7:

To further bolster security, BigFix 11 extends CyberFOCUS Security Analytics by adding BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Management for Rapid7 to its powerful arsenal of vulnerability management solutions. CyberFOCUS Security Analytics now provides integration with Tenable, Rapid 7, Qualys as well as the ability to ingest any list of vulnerabilities from a CSV-formatted file. Organizations can prioritize and remediate discovered vulnerabilities faster than ever.
  • Strengthened Platform Security:

Solutions with as much power and depth as BigFix must be security hardened to meet the needs of defense against the latest attacks. BigFix 11 delivers several security enhancements and extends platform support for OpenSSL3, SHA384 and TLS 1.3 to the BigFix Platform, several new platform features, new OS support for relays and databases and several upgraded libraries.

BigFix 11 is set to transform how organizations manage their endpoints through AI-driven IT automation, plus innovative security, risk management, compliance, and platform hardening capabilities. By combining all these new abilities into one release, BigFix 11 enables organizations to accelerate their IT teams, align their security stakeholders, and ally all the tools, teams and processes required to move at the speed that their business needs to succeed.
