Summary

The WebLogic Server Resource Management plugin provides steps to work with beans on an Oracle WebLogic server. You can automate the creation, modification, and deletion of quotas, templates, queues, JDBC, and more. Each plugin step provides a single function and contains properties to connect with the WebLogic server.

This plugin includes one or more steps, click Steps for step details and properties.

Compatibility

This plugin requires HCL Launch version 7.0 or later.

This plugin supports Oracle WebLogic server version 10.3 or later.

This plugin runs on all operating systems that HCL Launch supports.

Installation

See Installing plugins in HCL Launch for installing and removing plugins.

History

The following table describes the changes made in each plugin version.

Plugin history details
Version Description
6 Minor enhancements

Usage

Each plugin step performs supports a specific WebLogic server resources and you must specify the connection credentials that are required to connect to the WebLogic server in each step. Additionally, the location of the following files is required in each step:

  • A JMX JAR file which contains connection information file for accessing the WebLogic server
  • JMX properties files that define the objects.

Connection information for accessing the WebLogic server

A Java configuration file that contains information to access the WebLogic server is required. You must provide the path to the file in the Metadata File Path property. The plugin contains an example of this file that you can use. The file is named wlsMetadata.xml and is located in the extras folder of the plugin .zip file. You can provide your own configuration file and provide its location using the Metadata File Path property.

Configuration files for objects

A JMX properties file must be created to define the objects and the path to the file that is included in the JMX Properties Path property. The plugin contains an example of this file that is located in the extras folder of the plugin .zip file.

Step palette

To access this plugin in the palette, click Application Server > WebLogic > WLS Resource Management.
